Visiting Information

*** SPECIAL NOTE***In order to meet the budgetary cuts our staffing resource can only support a visitation schedule of once a week. Until further notice, CGTH visitation will be held on Sundays only. The maximum occupancy will be on a first come first serve basis. The visiting hours will remain the same as the previous Sunday visiting schedule. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

*** SPECIAL NOTE***Visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. for all daytime visits, and 4:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. for the minimum custody inmates. Visitors are encouraged to call 24 hours in advance to make sure the inmate is still located at Ely State Prison, and that their visiting days have not changed.

NOTE: INMATES IN DISCIPLINARY SEGREGATION WILL BE ALLOWED ONE (1) NON-CONTACT VISIT PER MONTH WITH NO MORE THAN TWO FAMILY MEMBERS PER VISIT.

Approved visitors for Segregation inmates may call for an appointment starting Wednesday of the prior week and no later than Friday at 12:00 PM.

Institutional count times are 11:15 AM and 3:30 PM daily. Visitors are not allowed to enter the facility after 10:45 AM, 2:45 PM or 6:00 PM on Friday. Visiting will resume after count clears however visitors are not allowed to enter or leave the facility DURING count.

Entry and Departure times shall be enforced with exceptions to emergency departures or pre-approved early departures obtained by the Facility Manager.

NOTE - Legal Visitation is by Appointment only and can be scheduled with the Camp Manager or Caseworker.

SCC visitors may ONLY visit on Sundays, NO EXCEPTIONS.

After signing in the visiting log a visitor departing prior to their visit will not be allowed to visit that day.

NNCC NEW VISITING HOURS EFFECTIVE 9-29-12

General population visitors may ONLY visit on Fridays and Saturdays, there will be no general population visits on Sundays, NO EXCEPTIONS.

There will only be two(2) processing times for visiting, 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, NO EXCEPTIONS

Visitors will only be allowed to depart visiting at 11:15 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Visits will take place in the Visiting Room or in the East Yard (Visiting Quad) only.

All visiting requests are submitted to the Visiting Officer for approval or disapproval.

Visitors need to call 48 hours in advance for appointment. Visiting is limited.

Special visits should be requested seven (7) days in advance of the visit and must be submitted to the Center Manager prior to being approved/disapproved.

Each inmate’s visitor(s) will be allowed one entrance time per visiting day. Entrance is on a first come first served basis.

Inmates are only allowed one visit during each am/pm session unless prior approval from the Warden/Designee has been authorized.

ATTENTION: All rules, regulations and dress code will be strictly enforced. Please ensure you arrive in proper attire with the
identification/documentation.

*** SPECIAL NOTE - SCC NEW VISITING HOURS EFFECTIVE 7-29-11***

All SCC population visitors must sign in prior to 8:00 A.M.(morning) and 12:00 P.M. (afternoon) for visiting

All Scc inmates will be escorted to NNCC by 8:30 A.M.(morning) and 1:00 P.M. (afternoon).

SCC visitors may ONLY visit on Sundays, NO EXCEPTIONS.

*** SPECIAL NOTE***Visiting hours are from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Entry into the Visiting Room is not permitted between the hours of 10:30 AM and 12:00 Noon, or after 1:30 PM. One must be an approved visitor before entering the institution. The incarcerated person must initiate the request for the visiting application to be sent to the visitor. A thorough background check must be completed before a decision can be made. The capacity of the WSCC Visiting Room is 48. It is highly recommended that family and friends call ahead of time to schedule their visits to ensure the inmate is still located at WSCC and that their visiting days have not changed.
